BECAUSE OF THE 2012 EARTHQUAKE, MOST OF THE CASTELFRANCO CHURCHES AND BUILDINGS ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED. SUCH US VILLA SORRA AND SANTA MARIA CHURCH
In the town centre you can admire St. James Church and the Archaelogical Museum in the Piella Palace or you can go for a nice walk under the typical arcades. It will take a few minutes to join also the wonderful park of Villa Sorra in Gaggio and the Castle of Panzano with a rich Museum of veteran cars (private collection). In Castelfranco Emilia you can obviously taste the traditional "tortellini": according to the legend they were invented right here!
